Runmox-457 Dry Syrup is a paediatric oral antibiotic formulation containing a combination of Amoxycillin and Potassium Clavulanate, designed to effectively treat a wide range of bacterial infections in children. Amoxycillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, while Potassium Clavulanate enhances its effectiveness by preventing bacterial resistance caused by beta-lactamase enzymes. Each 5 ml of reconstituted suspension provides Amoxycillin 400 mg and Clavulanic Acid 57 mg, ensuring powerful and reliable antibacterial action. The syrup is formulated in a palatable orange flavour, making it easier for children to consume and improving treatment compliance. Runmox-457 is commonly prescribed for infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose and throat (ENT), urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues, as well as other susceptible bacterial infections. The dry syrup comes with sterile water for reconstitution and should be used strictly under medical supervision.
